Indian game developer SuperGaming has revealed plans to release its battle royale game Indus in closed beta.
The closed beta of the game consists of the battle royale mode along with several battle-tested features from previous Indus Community Playtests. It can be accessed with an Indus Closed Beta Key which will be in limited supply. Along with this, expect some surprises that will be announced closer to its release window: this festive season 2023.
In addition to the closed beta, SuperGaming released a new cinematic trailer for the game. Several characters in the trailer have been voiced by Olympic pistol shooter Heena Sidhu, India’s leading gaming YouTuber Techno Gamerz (Ujjwal Chaurasia) as well as popular content creators such as GamerFleet (Anshu Bisht) and Magsplay (Mansi Gupta).
SuperGaming CEO and co-founder Roby John said, “The Indus closed beta trailer is our attempt at showcasing the Indian gaming industry by involving aspirational real-life icons from culture, sports, and content creation as a part of it. With over five million pre-registrations so far and the support of a vocal community, we firmly believe Indus is at the forefront of building India’s gaming revolution.”
The trailer for the game premieres online on the official Indus YouTube channel after debuting during SuperGaming’s Creator Playtest event on 11 August 2023 in Pune.
The trailer entices players to discover, loot, and win on Virlok — the game’s island map, all while showcasing Indus’ weapons, avatars, and traversal. It highlights multiple locations and firefights with an intent of showing the scope and size of the battle royale experience SuperGaming aims to provide.
To be the first to access the Indus Closed Beta, users need to pre-register for the game on Google Play. Players can join the Indus Discord server to be notified of upcoming key drops. Keys are in limited supply.
