Steam along with Nodding Heads Games and Nodwin gaming has organised the Steam Indian Harvest Festival where Indian games are available at a discounted rate. We have listed our favourites from both past and present releases. Here they are:
In My Shadow: In My Shadow takes you through a lamenting dream where you play with shadows in uniquely imaginative ways to solve twisted platforming puzzles. It takes you on a wondrous journey through the mind of Bella in pursuit of reconciliation with her past. The game features four rooms with a total of more than 50 puzzles to solve. Each room offers a different glimpse into her memories, exploring the changing relationships in her family. The shadows within each level must be manipulated via objects to progress and there is often more than one solution to a challenge. The gameplay is non-linear which allows and encourages multiple solutions to puzzles. The difficulty of the levels largely varies on your imagination; hence the play duration is not fixed. The game is currently priced at Rs 320 on Steam at its base price since its launch on 9 April.
Raji: An Ancient Epic: Raji is an action-adventure game with a close connection with mythological lore. The story begins with the start of a new war between the demons and the gods. Seeking to avenge their defeat in the last great war from a thousand years ago, the demons have challenged the gods who humiliated them and have invaded the human realm, threatening them with extinction. Thinking that their enemies had been utterly defeated in the last great war, a thousand years ago, the humans had fallen into a false sense of security, forgetting the ways of alchemy, while enjoying the peace. Unable to defend themselves, cities and fortresses fell, leaving the humans at the mercy of the demons. Amidst the chaos, as cities and fortresses fell, and as young children were abducted from their homes, a young girl named Raji is chosen by the gods to be the sole defender of the human race. The game involves amazing artwork inspired by Indian mythologies such as Mahabharata and Ramayana, and by the medieval architecture of Rajasthan and it involves tactical combat. The game is currently priced at Rs 299 on Steam.
Miners’s Mettle: Miner’s Mettle is a blend of artillery shooting and real-time strategy! Four factions fight for supremacy on an uninhabitable mining planet. You must ensure that your faction not only survives but also secures a sizable cache of the miracle mineral, Pentum. You will explore and survey harsh terrain for mineral deposits. Return to safety with the minerals, and you’ll be able to research and build exciting new technologies that will expand your tactical options against your competitors. This tech can be installed on your armed trains, allowing you to customize each one and fulfil different roles in your strategic plans. The game is currently priced at Rs 404 on Steam and it is scheduled to launch on 13 May which means that even before its launch you are getting it at a discounted rate!
Two leaves and a bud: Two leaves and a bud is a tea farm and factory management game wherein you get to produce a variety of tea, craft your own processing technique, expand and manage your Tea Estate. You’ll also have to deal with factors such as pests, weather, and labour management, which can either make or break your business. The game is amazing as it shares knowledge of how to run a tea estate from top to bottom. The game launched on 13 April and is currently priced at Rs 299 on Steam.
The Bonfire II: Uncharted Shores: The Bonfire II: Uncharted Shores is a strategy based games and it is the sequel of the game The Bonfire Forsaken Lands which is also listed the Steam Indian Harvest Festival games from the past category. The gameplay revolves around building, surviving, exploring. The main purpose of the player is to design your city, manage resource chains and workers, send ships on expedition, trade with cities, discover mysterious dungeons and uncover secrets of ancients. The game is currently priced at Rs 267 on Steam.
Mystic Pillars: Mystic Pillars is an original blend of intriguing puzzles and an immersive storyline set in Ancient India, providing you with a unique gameplay experience. The gameplay is interesting where a player plays as a mysterious traveller whose journey across the world lands them in the kingdom of Zampi. The main task will be to resolve the drought plaguing the once-prosperous kingdom of Zampi by solving puzzles and destroying the magical pillars blocking the water. The game is currently priced at Rs 64 on Steam.
Asura: Asura is an action Rrogue-like set in a fantasy world inspired by the richness of Indian mythology. It features a unique procedural skill tree that changes on every play-through. Reincarnated as a demon, use your newfound powers and hatred to invade the ‘Pancha Dvora’- the five fortresses of the Daeva empire. Embark on a journey to exact your vengeance against Hasirama – The God-King, Maharaja, and Slayer of Innocents. The game is currently priced at Rs 186 on Steam.
Rubek: Rubek is a minimalist colour-based puzzle game. Roll a cube to pick up and match correct colours on the floor, as you make your way to reach the endpoint while figuring out a way to solve the puzzles. Play through 70+ handcrafted levels of mind-bending difficulty and collect stars to compete on the global leaderboards. The game is currently priced at Rs 31 on Steam.
Lovely Planet 2: Lovely Planet 2 is A first-person shooter gun ballet set in a cutesy abstract world. The player needs to jump and shoot their way through five worlds full of treacherous enemies with your trusty semi-automatic. Balance between jumping around dodging bullets and taking aim for a better shot at the enemies, evade the onslaught of bullets and defeat all baddies that stand in the way. The game is currently priced at Rs 149 on Steam.
Warfront Defenders: This is a tactical defense mini-game based on WW2. A single-player hybrid of Tower Defense and Real-Time Strategy. Played on a diorama inspired by the historical Battle of Westerplatte, Poland which marked the start of World War 2. Players can expect that they will be outnumbered, outgunned, but not out of tactics. Also, expect enemies with brains, they will react to your strategies and apply counter-strategies to break down your defenses. All you have is a handful of soldiers to stand in their way. Warfront Defenders as a series of games will attempt to take inspiration from the historical battles of WW2 and turn them into tactical games playable on small dioramas. The game is currently priced at Rs 194 on Steam.
