Publisher Annapurna Interactive has had a successful year since Neon White by developer Ben Esposito and Stray by BlueTwelve, a popular cat game, were both successful releases. With an eye toward the future, Annapurna has highlighted its lineup of upcoming titles during its annual Annapurna Interactive Showcase.
Throughout the half-hour, Annapurna Interactive gave details on the already announced games like Thirsty Suitors and Hindsight besides announcing news games by developer Cardboard Computer, creator of games like Keita Takahashi and Kentucky Route Zero.
Thirsty Suitors
The creator of Thirsty Suitors, Outerloop Games, started the Annapurna Interactive Showcase by demonstrating how the game’s narrative and combat interact through an innovative fighting scene. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X will all be getting Thirsty Suitors. On Steam, a demo is now accessible. Upon launch, it will be on Game Pass.
Hindsight
Prune developer Joel McDonald’s Hindsight will launch on Apple iOS, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam on 4 August.
New Cardboard Computer game
Cardboard Computer, the creator of Kentucky’s Route Zero, and Annapurna Interactive are collaborating on a new game. There were no significant specifics disclosed, only that it will be in development and be more dynamic.
Bounty Star: The Morose tale of Graveyard Clem
The game was announced by the developer Dinogod. It’s a mech fighter with base building and farming, and it will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC through Steam, and Xbox Series X. It is scheduled to release in 2023.
New game from Yarn Owl
Yarn Owl, a brand-new studio with offices in Texas and Georgia, and Annapurna Interactive have announced a new partnership. The two developers are currently working on their first game after meeting on Twitch.
Flock
Flock is a video game where you fly and gather friends from Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg, who most recently worked on Hohokum and I Am Dead. It will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC through Steam, and Xbox Series X.
New Dreamfeel game
Dreamfeel, a game developer of If Found… is currently working on a new game with just cats as protagonists was highlighted by Annapurna Interactive.
The Lost Wild
The Lost Wild, a dinosaur survival game from Great Ape Games, will be published by Annapurna Interactive. It will be released on Windows PC via Steam, but console announcements will come later.
What Remains of Edith Finch
The critically acclaimed indie title What Remains of Edith Finch is now playable in 4K at a frame rate of 60 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, it is free.
Forever Ago
A road trip video game depicting an elderly guy is being developed by the German studio Third Shift. Titled Forever Ago it appears to be wonderful.
Outer Wilds update
Although it’s taking longer than anticipated, Outer Wilds is still on its way to the Nintendo Switch. However, the game will launch on 15 September on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Players who already own the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can play it for free.
