Games2win pays homage to Neil Armstrong with ‘Apollo 11:Mission to the Moon’

Continuing the sucess of launching tremendous games, Games2win.com is back again with its new game  Apollo 11: Mission to the Moon, a highly interactive and engaging online game that recreates the historic mission of Neil Armstrong to the moon. The game was released on 27th August 2012 and is dedicated to the memory of Neil Armstrong who piloted this historic journey.

The key Feature of the game is the experience of re-living the mission in a certain way. To be able to understand even a little of what it took Neil Armstrong and his team to reach the moon is an unparalleled experience.

The game play recreates the first manned mission to land on the moon and the four critical stages that made Apollo 11 a successful mission. First, the player has to successfully launch the Apollo 11 rocket in space, after which he needs to orbit the earth and land on Moon. The last stage of the game involves bringing the lunar module back to earth safely. If one loses the level, the player can replay the level or move ahead to the next one. So there is no such rule of finishing the level to move ahead.

Alok Kejriwal – CEO and Co-Founder of Games2win said, “Neil Armstrong inspired millions of people all over the world by fulfilling a global dream. Creating an online game in his honor allows the younger generation to interactively experience his heroic journey and appreciate the humongous challenges he faced way back in 1969. By playing the game, one can truly appreciate what Neil Armstrong achieved!’

Elaborating more on the game play and its development Tejas Shah, Lead – Business Intelligence & Partnerships, Games2win.com said that, “Since childhood we have heard about the man who first stepped on Moon. We thought this was the perfect tribute to a legend by doing what we do the best. Making a game, and thats how we came up the concept. Once the concept was finalised out next step was the development procedure. It took us around 2 days to get the game done. The team was so energetic when the idea was put forth that they worked during the weekend from home to complete it.We even had to keep in mind that no realities were hampered and everything was kept pure.”

“The response has been great. The game has engaged audiences for a good amount of time which shows that people want to experience such moments and games are a great medium to help them experience it. We hope to receive this kind of  feedback again and again”

Games2Win also offers consumers the opportunity to extend their Apollo 11 experience beyond the virtual world. Embedded in the game, consumers can click on a link to receive a paper model rocket design of the Apollo 11 mission that can be downloaded, printed, cut and built into a real-life memento.

Games2win has always created ‘topical’ games to highlight current issues. Another latest game in this category is the Romney VEEP Dating game released sometime back.. They even have update’s for  Volcano Flight Frenzy and Parking Frenzy planned in their pipeline. In addition to these updates they are also working on sequels for their successful Mobile games.
