Gucci is focusing more on gaming and esports with the introduction of Gucci Gaming Academy, which will support rising esports talent as they pursue professional careers, starting with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). The Gucci Gaming Academy seeks to serve as the next step for solo FPL players by providing specially created digital training, in-game performance coaching and other support programmes in connection with the World Health Organization to help them make their way through the world of esports.
Games and gaming platforms have a lot of possibilities for the development of digital fashion and community interaction as luxury brands build their metaverse strategies. With metaverse and Web3 early adopters, esports players and their followers constitute a possible crossover audience.
Unless they are recruited to a professional team sooner, players will be supported by the Academy for a duration of 12 months.
