In the game play of Road Kill Xtreme, a fast paced arcade single player game, protagonist named Walter, who while searching for a job after getting fired from the last one, finds out a crazy wicked way of earning a living, which is collecting coins from the street. You will experience dodging high speeding cars, evading obstacles and some angry pedestrians along the way. As the game progresses, Walter needs to collect maximum coins from before time out else he gets knocked out by cars or enemies.
So how can Walter survive longer in this game? We hear this from Zainuddin Fahad, Founder of Games Division Rocksalt Interactive, “A player will find different power-ups and items that can help survive longer or even help you collecting coins in more effective ways.”
“There are three different levels in the game with progressive difficulty and you can unlock more power-ups and enemies with each level.” Adds more
This 3D game, which is targeted to mass audiences, portrays the traffic scenario in India.
“We went ahead with 3D because this game play was very much ideal for a 3D world and also I find that there are not many 3D arcade gaming apps around.”
Cartoonish and a wacky look and feel is given to the game along with exaggerated character proportions and hand painted textures are used.
“The game is isometric and fast paced and this kind of art style helps in not making the screen look cluttered, which can be a hindrance to game play”, informs more.
Zainuddin points out that numerous mobile game players play a game for an average of 5-10 minutes and Road kill Xtreme in this short time span will allow players to not only experience all the cool features of the game and at the same time prove as a challenging game.
At present in its final touch up stages, the game is developed using Unity Game Engine and C#, set to release on the 7th of next month for free on Android and as Lite and Paid versions on iOS.
Concluding the conversation with us, Zainuddin explains three winning aspects of the game by saying, “The first thing would definitely be the quick reflex game play since it makes you jump out of your seat whenever you nearly miss those fast cars. Another would be the power-ups, because they really help you getting out of some tough spots later in the game. And lastly would be the short game play sessions as players can enjoy all the best parts of Road kill Xtreme in those moments.”
