Recent reports confirm hat publisher Bethesda has lessened the price of Deathloop on PC after would-be purchasers approached employees at Arkane — the game’s developer. Bethesda’s PC past in India has been hardly considerate, almost always pricing its games on par with or just a bit lower than the price for console.
A recent example of this is Doom Eternal which is Rs. 3,999 on Steam, similar to what you’d pay on PS4 or Xbox One. Even when PC games occupied a Rs. 999 price tag, the company charged Rs. 2,499 upwards for its games.
With IO Interactive raising and then reducing the price of Hitman 3 on PC to what it should have been in the first place, Bethesda is the second publisher this year to join the fair pricing league for Indian PC gamers.
Deathloop is out on 21 May 2021 for PS5 and PC.
