After four days of intense Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) action, Chemin Esports has emerged as the winners of the AMD Skyesports Pro League. The tournament, which was presented by AMD and powered by Rooter, had a prize pool of Rs 10,00,000.
Chemin dominated in the competition as they took an early lead at the end of day two and carried that over to end the Pro League with five chicken dinners and 90 kills from 20 matches. In the second place was Enigma Gaming with Orangutan Gaming coming in third to round up the podium finishes.
Chemin recently revamped their BGMI roster and this victory is a positive indication and a big confidence boost for the team ahead of the BMOC and BMPS.
Commenting on the victory, Chemin Esports founder Ishan Verma said, “What an intense final it was. Team Enigma gave a tough fight and I am really glad that the team kept their nerves and won the championship. After the BGIS disappointment, we wanted to make a strong team with a mix of raw talent and experience. I guess after months of tryouts and trying various combinations, we have succeeded in forming one such lineup. After this victory, my expectations from this team are high, and am hoping for a consistent show in the future as well. Next up, our target is the BMOC followed by the BMPS. Special mention to the Skyesports team for a brilliant tournament. Hoping for many such tournaments in future as well.”
Here are the overall rankings for the Skyesports Pro League BGMI:
Team Insane’s Neyo was the MVP of the tournament with 37 finishes, which is close to half of the 91 kills his entire team achieved in the Pro League. Despite their high number of kills, the team couldn’t put up a consistent performance and their low placement points put them out of contention for the victory. They could only manage seventh place.
The Skyesports Pro League was a historical event for the esports industry in India as it was the first time a tournament was broadcasted in nine different languages. Fans could tune into the competition on Rooter in Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, and Telugu.
