Held in support of the mass market gaming community, Casual Connect Asia 2014 brings together over 900 top developers, publishers and distributors involved in the gaming industry to create networking opportunities among fellow gaming enthusiasts. To be hosted at the Shangri-La Hotel from May 20 to 22, participants and attendees can look forward to a variety of stimulating lectures covering a wide array of topics, including emerging trends, gaming development and the future of the industry across multiple gaming platforms.
In its third installation this year, Casual Connect Asia is organised by the Casual Games Association. An international trade organisation dedicated to promoting casual games and providing educational resources for the game development community, the association also hosts annual conferences in San Francisco, Kyiv, Europe and Asia. The Casual Games Association also awards the Indie Prize, a scholarship programme for up-and-coming gaming development teams that show potential in the gaming industry.
Casual Connect is the place to learn more about an industry which entertains 300 million people each month. Along with the conference sessions, over 80 indie developers will be presenting their games at the Indie Prize Showcase (http://www.indieprize.org/).
Also making its debut is the International Design, Entertain, and Amaze (IDEA) Showcase (http://ideashowcase.cc/), where established developers looking for international partners for publishing, user acquisition, game performance monitoring, and logistical support will be presenting their recent projects.
