Android emulator BlueStacks has launched its Creator Hub and Creator Studio feature which enables modding and sharing of modded games. This feature allows users to modify games on the cloud – which are developed using Cocos, Unity and Unreal Engine – at free of cost in BlueStacks X app player.
Currently modding is available for specific games like Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, Cookie Run: Kingdom, Garena Free Fire MAX, Lords Mobile: Tower Defence, Candy Crush Saga, State of Survival: Zombie War, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Walking Dead: Road to Survival and Arknights.
We tried our hands on BlueStacks’ Creator Hub and it was fun to see our beloved actors, memes, and gifs popping up after a win, kill, level up or defeat. We spent some time reviewing the mods, unfortunately, not all mods are working in all the games. None of the mods work in games like BGMI and Candy Crush. As for Garena Free Fire MAX, the game couldn’t be downloaded through BlueStacks, so we couldn’t review the mods created for this game.
On the other hand, only a few mods worked in games like Lords Mobile: Tower Defence, Looney Tunes Worlds of Mayhem, State of Survival: Zombie War, Walking Dead: Road to Survival, Cookie Run: Kingdom and Arknights.
However, to create a mod users can select any aforementioned games and go to the Effect tab, there are options available to give desired effects for Win, Kill, Headshot, Level Up, and Defeat; these options change as per the games. Creators can choose various existing effects or can upload an impact of their choice and select it. Then the creator can move forward to the Filter tab, there is a wide range of filters available such as Sepia, Cool, Calm, Walden, Reverse and so on. The users can even customise the filters.
For us, overall this feature wasn’t that fascinating but we would have loved to see the gifs pop up after each kill in BGMI and Garena Free Fire MAX. We hope the creators fix it, so that the feature is available in all six games.
BlueStacks Creator Hub and Studio is the world’s first mobile gaming platform which opens up the possibilities of user-generated content in the global mobile gaming community. Creator Hub and Studio of BlueStacks is powered by now.gg and now.gg’s NFG platform.
