For the game that recently got its most awaited iOS release, Battlegrounds Mobile India, Rooter is tying up with Wings Lifestyle to host a tournament of the same called Rooter Pro Scrims.
Top 40 Battlegrounds Mobile India teams will battle it out in Rooter Pro Scrims that will run from 21 to 27 August.
Rooter Sports Technologies founder and CEO Piyush Kumar said, “Krafton has been a pioneer in First Person Shooter Gaming category coming up with PUBG in India and creating the FPS category. The game created the first engaging Battle Royale game in India. BGMI since its launch in June has garnered more than 50 million downloads. Rooter Pro Scrims is divided in two phases for a total prize pool of Rs. 2,50,000. The initial phase will be conducted during the first four days where teams will play three matches each day. The distribution of prize money for initial phase is mentioned below:
- First place – Rs. 40,000
- Second place – Rs. 30,000
- Third place – Rs. 20,000
- Most Valuable Player – Rs. 10,000
The second phase of Rooter Pro Scrims is called the Conqueror scrims and the prize money distribution is listed below:
- First place – Rs. 60,000
- Second place – Rs. 35,000
- Third place – Rs. 25,000
- Fourth place – Rs. 10,000
- Most Valuable Player – Rs. 10,000
- Wings Phantom of the Day (Top performer of the day) – Rs. 5000 per day and a Wings Phantom Bluetooth headset
