Zee Institute of Creative Art (ZICA) recently organized a zonal student’s meet in Mumbai on the 2nd and 3rd of April 2012 and in Bangalore on 5th and 6th of April. The two day event was attended by around 250 students in Mumbai and 200 students in Bangalore.
On the First day students in Mumbai had  interactive sessions with reputed creative industry professionals that included Prabhanajan Chappar (ZICA-Business Head – Youth), Sumit Mehta (CEO – ZEE Learn), Hemant Shetty (ZEE TV), Manohar Bijur (Zee TV), Subhajit Sarkar (Rhythm & Hues), Varun Parange (Co-Founder – Trace VFx) Anshuman Choudhary (General Manager – ZIMA). On the second day students in both the cities were taken to the Zee Network Studio where they were exposed to the back-end functioning of the studio.
The studio tour helped the students to understand the working of a studio and also enabled them to experience the ZICA brand.

The meet in Bangalore saw industry professionals like Parmeshwar Bhatt (Programming Head-Zee Kannada), Balakrishna Maddur (VP-ABAI) and V.K.Gupta (Oscar Award Nominee – Golden Compass Movie-Consultant). The sessions were held from morning 9:30 to evening 7pm.
Students were thrilled to get a platform for their creative showcase and the best work exhibited was rewarded by ZICA They were also given career guidance. The Zonal meet described by ZICA as ‘a platform to be seen & heard’ provided the students a chance to interact with Industry leaders, hear about their success story, their work and be motivated from their life’s stories.
Talking to AnimationXpress.com Prabhanjan Chappar, Business Head – Youth, ZICA said, “We are very happy with the turnout of the meet, we hope this meet benefits the students and helps them achieve  lots of success in life. We are extend our heartfelt thanks to all the industry leaders who came and interacted with the students”.
The next ZICA zonal meet will be happening in Delhi on 12th and 13th of April 2012. The Zonal Students meet in all 3 cities was organized and executed by Darpan Vasudev, National Head ZICA and Kasinath Patro, National Head – Academics for ZICA.
