Webel DQE Animation Academy a joint initiative of Webel – a 100% Government of West Bengal Undertaking and DQ Entertainment (International) Ltd the Global entertainment production and distribution company today announced that the academy has won the ‘Most Promising Animation Institute in Kolkata’ award at the Education Excellence Award 2012.
Webel DQE Animation Academy garnered good response from the respondents to their opinion surveys in recognition of Webel DQE’s edge over others in terms of their offerings and quality of education. The academy is running a capacity of 600 students at a time in 8500 sft state-of-the-art facility in Salt Lake, the IT hub of Kolkata. The institution offers a one-year course in 2D and 3D animation and has lately introduced one year diploma program in digital Storyboarding and Digital Animation – Toon Boom Harmonyâ„?).

The academy was felicitated by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, an internationally renowned author, ex-Under-Secretary General, United Nations, a Minister and presently a Member of Parliament at a gala ceremony on the 31st March 2012 at Hotel Crown Plaza, Gurgaon.
