BIG AIMS (Animation Infotainment and Media School), India’s most happening Animation and VFX filmmaking academy, World Skill India, an initiative of National Skills Development Corporation of India (NSDC) and FICCI have come together to organize regional and national level competition in ‘Graphic Design’ category. The winner of the National Competition will be eligible to represent India at the ‘World Skill Competition’ to be held in Liepzig, Germany from 2nd to 7th July’2013.
Widely regarded as the Skills Olympics, the World Skills Competition (http://www.worldskills.org/ ) takes place in a different country every two years and brings together over 1,000 young people from more than 60 countries competing in variety of skills ranging from welding to web designing. The competition is organized by Amsterdam based not for profit organization, the World Skills International. Over its 60 years history, World Skills International has come to symbolize the pinnacle of excellence in vocational training. Every two years hundreds of young skilled people, accompanied by their teachers and trainers, gather together to test themselves against the demanding international standards. They represent the best of their peers drawn from regional and national skills competitions held currently in more than 60 countries.
The initiative serves the important purpose of being able to benchmark the skill sets of our youth vis-a-vis their counterparts in the rest of the world. The competition will be conducted in 3 segments: Preliminary Selection, Regional Level and National Level.
The competition is open for all Indian National born after 1st Jan 1991 and having knowledge of In-Design software and Mac Platform. The last date for online submission of entry is 20th October’12.
