Warner Bros. Home Entertainment recently announced that the vampire classic The Lost Boys will be available starting 20 September. The movie, directed by Joel Schumacher, is getting an official 4K release for the first time ever.
The Lost Boys originally got a theatrical release on 31 July 1987. The screenplay is done by Janice Fischer, James Jeremias and Jeffrey Boam (based on a story by Fischer and Jeremias). The cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman.
In addition to Sutherland, Patric, Haim and Feldman, the film also starred Jami Gertz, Edward Herrmann, Barnard Hughes, Dianne Wiest, Jamison Newlander and Alex Winter.
The film The Lost Boys had added a youthful energy into the vampire genre. Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) and Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010) are the two sequels of the film. As per a CBR report, it is revealed that Warner Bros. had been planning a big-screen re-imagining of The Lost Boys.
The combo pack will include a variety of previously-released bonus features, including commentary by the late Schumacher.
