Season three of ‘Umbrella Academy’ introduces the Sparrows

The trailer of the much-awaited season three of Umbrella Academy is out with the Hargreeves family saga. Season two focused on Hargreeves in the 1960s, where the family spent their time apart and went on their own journey eventually teaming up for the battle, which brought them back in time as they assumed.

The live-action series is based on the Eisner award-winning comic and graphic novel of the same name published by Dark Horse Comics, written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá.

After stopping the doomsday in 1963, the superheroes return together and believe that they have prevented the initial stage of the apocalypse fixing the timeline forever. But after some time, they realise things are not exactly the same.

Season three introduces the members of Sparrow Academy, who are smart and stylish, and they start clashing with the Umbrella Academy as they lay their eyes on them. After navigating their own challenges, losses, and surprises – as well as dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (which they may have caused) – all they have to do now is persuade Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them right the wrongs that their arrival caused.

Steve Blackman, who also acts as executive producer and showrunner, created the show for television. Director and executive producer Jeff F. King is behind the camera. Keith Goldberg, Mike Richardson, and Jeremy Webb all serve as executive producers (episode 301). Co-executive producers are Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, with Steve Wakefield serving as producer for episodes 301-307.

UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces the show for Netflix. The Umbrella Academy season three stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Justin H. Min, Colm Feore, Ritu Arya, Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, and Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton.
