The much anticipated Fallout series, which is an adaptation of the venerable RPG video game franchise, has released a brand new featurette on Amazon Prime. The series has a brand-new featurette available on Prime Video. Members of Bethesda Game Studios, the studio responsible for the Fallout brand, are featured in this new two-and-a-half-minute film, where they talk about what it means to transition the IP from video games to this new television series.
Tim Cain, the co-creator of the Fallout franchise, Todd Howard, the director and executive producer at Bethesda who also acts as executive producer on the upcoming Prime Video series, and Istvan Pely, the art director at Bethesda, are all featured in the new video. Howard sheds more light on the creation of the series and how Hollywood has been attempting for more than ten years to have a film based in the Fallout universe made, but it was never the right fit.
The featurette closes with Nolan working on the set of Prime Video’s Fallout series as he addresses many of the series’ positive aspects before being questioned about how he became engaged with the TV show. It is clear from his statement that Fallout 3 and the Fallout franchise have had a significant influence on him. He claims that he had planned to write the next great American novel, but after receiving a copy from a friend, now he is working in television.
Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten make up the starcast of the Fallout series. In collaboration with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, the show is produced by Amazon Studios and Kilter Films.
