‘Moon Knight’ writer Sabir Pirzada is working on MCU’s ‘Nova’

It’s official that Moon Knight series writer Sabir Pirzada is developing Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Nova. According to Deadline, Nova will probably focus on Richard Rider, the first human to wear the mantle of Nova in Marvel Comics.

Nova (Richard Rider) is a fictional superhero who first appeared in 1976’s Nova #1. The character appeared historically as the star of his own series, and at other times, as a supporting character in team books such as The New Warriors. He is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, for which he gained superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, flight, and resistance to injury.

Earlier Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that the company had plans for Nova, though he did not explain what those might be. Rumours from last year also claimed Marvel Studios was working on films centered on Nova and the Thunderbolts, as well as a sequel to 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

However, the release date or casting information for the upcoming Nova is not yet available.
