Indusverse brings Hindi edition of Mark Millar’s ‘The Ambassadors’ for free

The Ambassadors comics Hindi

One of the most awaited titles by the popular comic book writer Mark Millar, The Ambassadors, is finally out. Launched on 29 March, the book follows the story of six people who receive superpowers, and why they were chosen to receive it.

Here’s what the official synopsis of the title reads: Imagine you could gift superpowers to six people. In a world of eight billion, who do you choose? Join six of the greatest artists in the industry for an enormous story about ordinary people from around the world explaining why it should be them.

And Hindi comic book readers are in for a treat as India’s comic publishing company Indusverse, in association with Millar, is giving The Ambassadors #1 away as a free download in Hindi. The move is aimed to promote the English version published by Image Comics. The free version is available for download on Indusverse’s website.

The title is translated from English to Hindi by Neha Sharma, while the lettering is done by Mandaar Gangele. The Hindi edition has received additional translation and editing by Indusverse CCO and co-founder Alok Sharma.

Alok Sharma started his career as a comic book artist with Virgin Comics. Since then, he has worked as a creator with Disney, Cartoon Network, Fox, Raj Comics and other brands.

Millar is the New York Times best-selling comic-book writer of Jupiter’s Legacy, Kick-Ass, Kingsman and the brain behind Marvel titles like Civil War and The Ultimates. His Superman book, Red Son, is the highest-selling Superman graphic novel in history and was adapted by Warner Bros as an animated movie in 2020. He sold his company Millarworld to Netflix in 2017. The streaming service has developed some of his titles into films and TV series, one of them being Jupiter’s Legacy.

The Ambassadors has more issues lined up for the coming months. The first issue features artwork by Frank Quitely, Travis Charest, Olivier Coipel, Matteo Buffagni, Matteo Scalera and Karl Kerschl.
