Image Comics has announced a new ongoing comic series W0rldtr33 with James Tynion IV, which is slated for 2023 release. The comic creator has announced that since 2021’s The Nice House on the Lake, W0rldtr33 will be his first ongoing comic. Although the readers will get full access to the comic in Spring next year, the readers can have a glimpse of the first chapter in next month’s Image! 30th Anniversary #8.
Artist Fernando Blanco, colorist Jordie Bellaire, and letterer Aditya Bidikar will be working on the series alongside James Tynion IV. While announcing, Tynion said he couldn’t be more thrilled about the project and the crew. More specifically, he is enthusiastic about the introduction of a character he compares to an iconic figure on the level of an Erica Slaughter or a Fictional Woman. However, the fans will not be able to see the character until the launch date is near.
He also hinted at a stellar lineup of cover artists who were eager to adorn the series with stunning works of art. The creator also revealed some of the artwork readers will see in the next Image! 30th Anniversary #8.
The official synopsis of the comic reads: In 1999, Gabriel, Amanda, Liam, Yoshi, and Darren discovered what they dubbed the Undernet—a secret architecture beneath the internet. They charted their exploration of the Undernet on a private message board called W0rldtr33. Then they lost control. And unleashed unimaginable horrors.
