Hunter X Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi will make a comeback in this year’s 47th edition of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on 24 October, the same was announced by Shueisha. The manga has been on break since November 2018 and when it restarts, it will have been off for three years and 11 months.
Additionally, Viz Media announced that it has added the previous chapters of the manga to the magazine’s digital archive and will simulpub the new chapters in its English edition of Shonen Jump on 23 October EDT.
Shueisha also previewed the cover of the upcoming 37th volume of collected books, which will be manga’s first volume in nearly four years.
The 37th collected book volume of the manga, which would be the first volume in four years, was also hinted to by Shueisha. In May’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Togashi stated that he had completed the rough drafts for 10 chapters, which is the average number for a volume. He had joked at the time that he had completed seven manuscripts out of those 10 chapters. Since then, he has kept his Twitter account updated with hints about the progress of the chapters. He had not revealed the release dates of the chapters.
