India’s Fenil Comics is back with another Jasoos Balram comic. Titled Revolver, the graphic novel is a 16-page single shot comic and the fifth instalment in the Jasoos Balram series.
The official synopsis of Revolver reads: Revolver is a story of crime fiction. It is a story of triple murder done by service revolver of inspector Dayal. It is a challenging case for Jasoos Balram to solve.
Talking about the latest title, writer, creator and Fenil Comics owner Fenil Sherdiwala said, “Jasoos Balram is one of our flagship characters. I used to love reading suspense thrillers, so in 2010, I decided to create my own detective character, Jasoos Balram.” His previously launched Jasoos Balram comic books include Black, Sabse Badi Deal, Naadan and Facebook. He added, “I created this character keeping in mind the Indian audience and what they would like to read.” And there are more of our detective’s stories in the pipeline, assures Sherdiwala.
Released in only print format, Revolver will come in two variants: Premium Edition – 7 x 9.5′ and Sasta Edition – 5.75 x 8.75′. The graphic novel is illustrated by Mohit Arya and Zafar Imran, with Rudraksh Chaudhary as the colourist and Fenil Comics Studio as the letterer.
The Hindi version of Revolver is already launched with two variant covers and its shipping started from 10 August. The company plans to launch the English edition of Revolver on 27 August with a different cover variant.
In addition to the English edition of Revolver, Sherdiwala is planning to launch more comics in the year 2023 such as Mai Hu Angarakshak (Crime Fighter), Killer Dog (Jasoos Balram), Chunauti (Jasoos Balram), Kaudiya (Bajarangi). And what’s more in store? “Many more surprises which I would like to announce later,” concluded Sherdiwala.
