Diamond Comics has launched ‘Diamond Daredevils Series’ in association with DLF Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Delhi Daredevils also released 4 Comic books on 5th May along with the launch. This special series has been launched with all characters of Diamond Comics combined with Delhi Daredevils.
Talking to AnimationXpress.com about the collaboration, Gulshan Rai, Founder, Diamond Comics shared, ‘A special series of comics will be developed regularly in which there will be a team consisting of characters from Diamond Comic and DD players . It will be full of fun, fantasy and adventure”.
According to GMR Sports’ Head – Marketing, Hemant Dua this association is a step to stay connected with Delhi Daredevils fans not just during the IPL season, but throughout the year. “We are thankful to Bradford License India team, headed by director Gaurav Marya and VP Chitra Johri, who have helped Delhi Daredevils come together with Diamond Comics. BLI would represent this joint IP for further licensing in the field of digital, consumer products and marketing alliances,” he said.
Loyal Software would help make the comics available on all technology platforms. Loyal Software CEO Lokesh Saluja said, “We have offered complete digital rights management services to Diamond Comics so that these could reach the now generation of children across many platforms used by a majority of today’s children – PCs to mobiles to tabs.”
Diamond Comics and Delhi Daredevils are working jointly on this project. The IP of the print will be owned by Diamond Comics where as the digital, electronic IP will remain as the joint property of DD, Diamond Comics, and loyal software.
Bradford is the partner for licensing and branding. DD and Diamond Comics will jointly work in all the media’s to promote DC Characters and DD players in a new and innovative way and join hand with the media partner of DD and DC.
Gulshan Rai added, “We have been entertaining people by creating comics for over four decades and it is always exciting to be able to introduce new characters to the readers. We will be publishing every month, a full length comic at INR 50 in Hindi and English. This series will be very famous with in very short span of time”.
