DC has launched a new comic book series in partnership with HBO Max.
HBO Max/ Raised by Wolves serves as an eight-page mini backstory to the recently launched sci-fi series Raised by Wolves by Ridley Scott on WarnerMedia’s streaming service.
The first issue is available for free on several digital platforms including readdc, Comixology, Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and more. The comic will be followed up with a subsequent story that will connect Raised by Wolves’ first season with the next. It is written by the creator of the series Aaron Guzikowski, with art by Meghan Hetrick and Nick Filardi, letters by Marshall Dillon, and cover by Hetrick.
According to the press release, ” In the comic, sent on a mission from a destroyed Earth, two androids raise humanity’s best hope for the future on a distant planet. But do the monsters that forced them to leave also haunt this new home?”
Created by Aaron Guzikowski and produced by Ridley Scott, the streaming series Raised by Wolves stars Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Jordan Loughran, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Aasiya Shah, Ivy Wong and Travis Fimmel. It centers on the same two androids, Mother and Father, tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task. New episodes arrive each Thursday on HBO Max.
