Daredevil: Woman Without Fear, a three-issue solo series featuring Marvel Comics’ new Daredevil, Elektra Natchios is all set to launch this coming January.
The upcoming solo series is written by Chip Zdarsky and illustrated by Rafael De Latorre. The limited series will be a continuation of Zdarsky’s on-going Daredevil run and spins directly out of the events of the Devil’s Reign event.
Created by Frank Miller, Elektra Natchios first appeared in 1980’s Daredevil #168. She is a love interest of the superhero Daredevil, but her violent nature and mercenary lifestyle divide the two, before succeeding him as Daredevil in 2020. Elektra is one of Frank Miller’s best-known creations, but subsequent writers’ use of her is controversial as Marvel had originally promised to refrain from reviving the character without Miller’s permission. She has also appeared as a supporting character of the X-Men’s Wolverine and in other series and mini-series, as well as adaptations for the screen.
