Warner Bros. Discovery has released its schedule for New York Comic Con (NYCC) 2022. Initially, there was a doubt whether Warner Bros. Discovery would be attending the NYCC considering the cancellation of DC FanDome by the newly merged company. Some of the people’s favourite shows, comics and more including, The CW’s Supernatural spinoff The Winchesters, HBO Max’s Doom Patrol and Titans, Scooby-Doo’s animated series Velma, would be represented in panels and activations.
There will be lots of revelations by HBO Max, discovery+, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and DC Comics for eager fans to learn the latest information about their favourite characters. The dates for New York Comic Con are 6-9 October.
Here are the highlights and the information about Discovery’s presentations that will be held on the main stage:
Highlights
- HBO Max will share exclusive first looks at the HBO original series His Dark Materials, as well as Max Original/Warner Bros. Television series Titans, Doom Patrol, Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler, and the first episode of Warner Bros. Animation’s Velma, and a look at season two of award-winning audio-series Batman: The Audio Adventures.
- With the Ghost Brothers: Lights Out, Discovery+ takes fans on a voyage into the supernatural space as series’ stars Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass, and Marcus Harvey provide exclusive information about the upcoming season of their popular series.
- DC fans may learn what’s next for the Man of Tomorrow, the Super-Villains and Super Heroes of Gotham City, and what’s unfolding in the DC Multiverse.
- With two never-seen-before episodes of Cartoonito’s Batwheels and a panel discussion with a special cast and crew, Warner Bros. Discovery along with Cartoon Network bring animation to the city of New York.
- Genndy Tartakovsky, a legendary creator, will be joined by Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, and Boomerang, for a discussion about what the future of animation holds. Additionally, there will be the first American premiere of Tartakovsky’s upcoming project, Unicorn: Warriors Eternal.
- The CW and Warner Bros. Television present a pilot screening of The Winchesters, the highly anticipated prequel to the long-running hit drama series Supernatural, followed by a Q&A with members of the creative team.
- Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will present three exciting new animated movies, including Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, and Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm at New York Comic Con, all of them will have their world debuts. Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind will also receive a special screening on Wednesday, 5 October.

In the concluding episode of the HBO and BBC One adaptation of Philip Pullman’s epic fantasy novel His Dark Materials, Lyra, the prophesied kid, and Will, the carrier of The Subtle Knife, must travel to a dark land from which no one has ever returned. But as her father, Lord Asriel’s, great war against the Authority edges closer, they will learn that saving the world comes at a terrible price. AQUA TEEN FOREVER: PLANTASM

Be among the first to experience the all-new mystery-adventure feature-length film based on the famed Adult Swim series when Warner Bros. Home Entertainment presents the world premiere of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm. The R-rated film features everyone’s favourite rascals, the Aqua Teens: the brainy Frylock, the mouthy Master Shake, the loveable Meatwad, and everyone’s favourite perverted neighbour, Carl, as they split up and then get back together to fight everyone’s favourite corporate overlord, Amazin, led by everyone’s favorite tech mogul, Neil and his trusty scientist sidekick, Elmer. In addition to the screening, filmmakers and key cast members will hold a panel discussion, including audience Q&A. Carey Means, Dana Snyder and Dave Willis return as the voices of Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad, respectively. The film also stars Peter Serafinowicz, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Rothwell, Robert Smigel and Tim Robinson. The movie was written and directed by series creators Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro and produced by Williams Street Productions. Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm will be available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray starting 8 November, 2022.
BATMAN AND SUPERMAN: BATTLE OF THE SUPER SONS

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment marks the 30th anniversary of the blockbuster Mortal Kombat video game series with an inside look at the making of Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, the third in a series of MK-inspired feature-length animated films. Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind finds vicious, power-mad Kano determined to take over Earthrealm, one soul at a time. Assisted by a trio of cold Black Dragon mercenaries, he embarks on a brutal assault from town to defenceless town. The choice is simple: kneel or be annihilated. But when the cocky and talented but undisciplined Kenshi doesn’t take a knee, Kano and his clan destroy the young warrior, taking his eyesight and his confidence. Under the tutelage of reluctant, retired Kuai Liang, the only one powerful enough to challenge the malevolent Kano, Kenshi finds renewed hope and a clear path to redemption. But will it be enough to stop Kano from decimating all of Earthrealm?
