DelhiPress has launched their first multimedia book ‘Polly‘s Pink Book‘ a combination of picture book and animation short film through their associate company Vishv Books.
At the Delhi book Fair 2011 being held at Pragati Maidan, Delhi Press is showcasing over 1000 titles. Having satisfied millions of Indian readers through their quality books, Delhi Press is now also bringing out titles that specially cater to the international market.
“We are showcasing our wide collection of books. Also we would be showcasing our animation short film. We are displaying our new range of storybooks that are developed for international markets. There are short story books which have illustration of international level as well as the look and feel of the books are totally international too”, says Mudit Mohini, Director of Vishv Books.
“Polly‘s Pink Book is one such title that is expected to carve a niche for itself along with other new titles like Lazy Sunday Funday, The Sheep and the Pig, Little Spider First Web, Little Tuppen, Little Sambo, Why I‘m so tall?, Why do we fly in a V?, Country Mouse and the City Mouse etc”, adds Mohini.
Demand for books in the kids section has also increased manifold in the recent years. There is a paucity of books of international standard in this country, and it is this gap that Delhi Press is seeking to fill through Vishv Book publications. In fact the innovations are not limited to books alone, but a number of fun activities and supplements are also planned to augment the reading experience.
“The animation short film is a step forward towards holistic reading and we have plans of taking out a number of titles in this genre. At the book fair, one can also enjoy fun activities and games related to Poly after watching the animation”, informs Mohini.
Delhi Press is offering more than 1000 titles at the book fair at special prices. The wide range of books includes Children Books, Dictionaries, Fictional Novels for adults, World Classics, and Autobiographies etc.
Vishv Books has a number of Children‘s books also on display in sections like School Book, Art and, Craft series books, Board Books, Story Books, Rhymes, Poems, Songs books for children, Picture dictionaries, Novels for young adults, Activities books and Charts.
According to Rakesh Nath, owner of Delhi Press, children literature and text books are two biggest sub sections in this genre. “In children‘s books there is a big demand for wide range of storybooks, fables, Activity Books, Art and Craft books, Coloring Books, Model Construction Books, Board Books, Picture Books, Early Learning Books, Children‘s Classics and Fictional Novels. We also have a huge variety of charts,” says Rakesh Nath.
