In October 2006, Virgin Comics and Kahani World announced their collaboration for working on the animated feature Seven Sounds…. which is based on a Virgin Comics property written by Sharad Devarajan, Gotham Chopra & Suresh Seetharaman.
March 2007, at FRAMES, the team shared the latest update on the project with AnimnationXpress.com.
Development work and parts of pre production including character design being worked on in Canada and India have now been completed. On board the project is associate producer Aparna Updhyay who heads Mothers Pet Media a school that educates around 7500 kids a year.
Also on board is Singapore / Mumbai based ettaminA studios which has been appointed as the production studio for the project and will have a co producer status for the production part.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, Kahani World CEO Biren Ghose shared, “Every project mounted for Hollywood after announcing goes through a process of finance as well as fine tuning and aligning the project to a plan. We are through with that phase as well as the development work”
“We have invested a lot of time in the development of the project. Jointly between Virgin & Kahani World, the team includes Game designers, Merchandising Gurus, and other super talented professionals from varied fields within the Animation & related spectrum. The design & production has been concieved keeping multiple platforms in mind” he added.
Virgin Comics & Animation President Suresh Seetharaman shared,”We are not developing a product, we are creating a brand. And the beautiful thing about a brand is its longevity, which at times outlasts its creators”
Seven Sounds is a story of 2 Princes Vik & Neel, their sister Tara and the evil Halimaka. The 3D feature gets into production phase soon and is being planned for a release in?
