Nier: Automata is one of those brands that is instantly recognisable. The role-playing game has become a top-selling machine under the direction of Yoko Taro and the other IP executives. Fans were interested to learn that Nier: Automata would be made into an anime, and its first two trailers have already been revealed.
Aniplex, the company that is co-producing the animation with Square Enix, posted the footage on YouTube. The Nier: Automata Ver1.1a is presently scheduled to premiere in January 2023.
Fans were already aware that Nier: Automata has been contemplating entering the anime market. Square Enix did indicate an adaptation was in the works during the game’s fifth anniversary event. Now, we know this ambitious series will have a completely unique plot and will add Taro to its workforce. Together with the film’s director, Ryouji Masuyama, the game’s creator is writing The Nier: Automata Ver1.1a script. Yui Ishikawa will provide the voice for 2B, and Tatsuki Hanae will be voicing 9S.
If you haven’t heard of Nier: Automata, it’s a best-selling game that can be played on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The official synopsis of the game reads: NieR: Automata tells the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim the machine driven dystopia overrun by powerful machines. Humanity has been driven from the Earth by mechanical beings from another world. In a final effort to take back the planet, the human resistance sends a force of android soldiers to destroy the invaders. Now, a war between machines and androids rages on. A war that could soon unveil a long forgotten truth of the world.
