UK based software developer specialising in VFX technology for film and video, The Foundry is looking to make inroads into the rapidly growing Indian post and FX market.
The latest addition to its collection if plugins and tools is Furnace a collection of image preparation and restoration tools. MEL and Spirit (Studios) are 2 of the notable studios in India have in the past months added Furnace to their arsenal of VFX weapons.
Says Spirit Media MD Rana Daggubati,”We selected Furnace on Shake as this solution is perfectly suited to the requirements of our new post production studio – Spirit. Furnace deals with complicated wire, rig removal, rotoscopy and sequence retiming with ease. We found that the combination of Furnace and Shake enabled us to deliver a considerably higher volume of shots in much shorter turnaround times making it the obvious choice for us when purchasing kit for the new studio.”
A press release quotes MEL CEO Turakhia as saying,”The majority of our work is on Flame and after we evaluated The Foundry’s Furnace plug-ins they became a must-have. Furnace is a unique collection of plug-ins, which has already saved us hours of work. Tinder 5 is a superb collection of visual effects which we feel are a lot faster than any of the other sparks we have used.”
