The Bob’s Burgers Movie has received an official release date on HBO Max.
HBO Max announced that popular animated series will arrive on the streaming service this July. Bob’s Burgers is an animated sitcom created by Loren Bouchard for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centres around the Belcher family—parents Bob and Linda and their three children, Tina, Gene, and Louise—who run a hamburger restaurant. The show was conceived by Bouchard after he developed Home Movies. Bob’s Burgers is a production by Bento Box Entertainment and 20th Television.
In 2017, Fox announced that it was developing a feature film based on the animated sitcom with Bouchard at the helm. The film was confirmed to be in the works at 20th Century Fox in 2018.
In 2019, The Walt Disney Company acquired 21st Century Fox, with the 20th Century Fox film studio being rebranded as 20th Century Studios.
Bob’s Burgers: The Movie showcases voice talent which includes H. Jon Benjamin as Bob, John Roberts as Linda, Dan Mintz as Tina, Eugene Mirman as Gene, Kristen Schaal as Louise, and Larry Murphy as Teddy, Zach Galifianakis, Kevin Kline, and David Wain. The film’s director is Bernard Derriman and its co-director is Loren Bouchard. The screenplay is by Loren Bouchard and Nora Smith. The producers are Loren Bouchard, Nora Smith, and Janelle Momary.
Released on 27 May, the film is playing in theatres and in less than a month making its OTT debut on 12 July.
