Here‘s one more to add to the list of Animated feature releases planned for 2007. Lava-Kusa which is being produced by Hyderabad based ‘The Kanipakam Creations‘ in association with RVML might just make it to the Big Screen before end of 07, a target that has been set by its makers.
Over a 100 artists are working on this 90 minute long animated feature which is planned to be initially released in three languages Hindi, English and Telugu.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com about the movie, RVML Planning and Project Manager, Praveen Teegala shared “The market for Indian animated features is looking ripe and we are confident that our movie based on the legendary twin warrior princes Lava Kusa will be well received. The whole team is brimming with energy as we are pushing our limits to match the standards from script to screen solely by Indian talent and it definitely is a new kind of experience for all the artists and technicians involved to work for a film in the theatrical format which involves hi-end technical aspects of animation filmmaking”
About choosing Lava-Kusa as the subject for the movie, Praveen said “Lava Kusa is a mythological subject and purely an Indian content, also a wonderful epic, wherein there is a lot of scope for animation to interest the target audience (children). Also, we are taking care to give a different look and not to loose the traditional values of the great story.”
