After a long wait the 3D animated ‘Krishna: Aayo Natkhat Nandlal’ is all set to grace the big screen on September 29. The animated Hindi feature film is based on the life of Lord Krishna.
“The subject of the film and the music are the strongest part of the movie and we expect the film to attract not only the children but adults as well”, said Amit Chheda, MD, Sethia Audio Video, speaking to Animation Xpress.com “We have observed that there is a sudden increase in the public interest about animation content after Hanuman. We will try to take this interest a step further.”
The movie is releasing with 150 prints all over India and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Pvt. Ltd which is distributing Krishna: Aayo Natkhat Nandlal, was very positive when asked about the potential of the film. “Hanuman has created acceptance for animation products and now it is much easier to strike deals in the trade for Krishna: aayo natkhat nandlal,” he said.
“We are also working on a particular marketing strategy where merchandise like Mukut, Keychain, Wind chain, Compass box, Soft toys, Note books etc will be available for the purchase in the market” said Jayantilal and added, “There are almost 100 merchandised goods items correlating Krishna: Aayo Natkhat Nandlal, in the market.
The 105 minute movie has been produced at the Pune based animation studios ECATS and Media Solutions. Pre pro began in October 2003 and the entire film took around three years in the making.
