After almost two years, fans of the adult cartoon series Harley Quinn can finally rejoice as the third season has been given an official release window on HBO Max for later this summer. Harley Quinn creators have made the confirmation about the same on their official Twitter account. The official release date is yet to be revealed.
The creators also posted a picture featuring Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) vacationing on the beach, toasting drinks to each other. The post doesn’t provide any major plot details but it does confirm that the storyline will progress from where the second season ended where we see Ivy confessing her feelings to Quinn.
The animated series made its debut in 2019 on DC Universe, which is now a dissolved streaming service. In 2020, the series was moved to HBO Max after the launch of the Warner Bros. streaming service, where the series was received well by the audiences for its animation, dark humour and voice acting.
Harley Quinn follows the life and adventures of the titular character after she leaves her boyfriend, Joker (Alan Tudyk), and tries to make it on her own. She also creates her own crew consisting of famous characters like Poison Ivy, Clayface (Alan Tudyk), King Shark (Ron Funches), Doctor Psycho (Tony Hale) and Sy Borgman (Jason Alexander).
