Reliance AIMS to Conduct a Series of Seminars on Animation Scriptwriting and Direction by Dhrubo Banerjee- Director Creative Initiative, Reliance Animation and Head – Story Development of Shaktimaan and Vikram Veturi- Director of Krishna Aur Kans

How do you write a flawless animation movie script and master the art of directing an animation movie? Well, these questions would be given deep attention in the upcoming seminar series by Reliance AIMS.

Jump starting today at Nagpur and to be held across various cities in India, these seminars would give out knowledge of animation direction and script writing and anyone who masters these skills can use it to write a script or direct a film, be it documentary, short film, feature film and not just an animation film.

Also the seminar will prove as a boon for those wishing to get insight into the efforts required in the art form of Animation and Vfx film making and welcome are the attendees, who aspire to take up a course in animation and vfx film making.

The key speakers who would be executing these seminars are Dhrubo Banerjee- Director- Creative Initiatives at Reliance Animation and story developer of animated series, Shaktimaan, and Vikram Veturi- Director of Krishna aur Kans, India’s first stereoscopic animated feature film.

Dhrubo would be conducting the seminars today at Nagpur and in Ahmedabad and Mumbai on the 27th, 28th May and Vikram would be initiating it at Trivandrum, Bangalore and Kolkata on  22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th May.

Dhrubo in his session will be speaking about the process, method, steps of script writing in an interactive session based on case studies of animation movies whereas Vikram will provide an insight into the aspects that are needed to direct your own animation film.

Informing AnimationXpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala about the insights of the seminar that Dhrubo would be carrying out, he says, “To make a good film there are three golden rules. Rule no. 1 – A Great Script, Rule no. 2 – A Great Script and Rule no. 3 – A Great Script .  Everything else follows. If the foundation of the film – the script is not correct, all the efforts in technical execution of the same will fall flat. It will never excite the viewer. It is indeed exciting to find the enthusiasm of Reliance AIMS students across the country to hone up their skills in effective storytelling and script writing  I think anybody who wishes to make a film and write his / her own script for the same regardless of animation or live action, short film or full length feature will benefit form these sessions and will be able to write their own scripts even if they have done so before. I believe that everybody who wants to make films can write provided they know the basic grammar of writing. I wish the students all the very best in their film making efforts.”
