Prepare to get jinxed: ‘Arcane’ is back with an explosive season 2 teaser trailer

Netflix has unleashed a thrilling glimpse into the highly anticipated second and final season of Arcane, the groundbreaking series inspired by the world of League of Legends (LoL). Riot Games’ iconic MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game boasts a diverse array of heroes, from the enigmatic Jinx to the formidable Galio, each offering a unique gameplay experience to master and strategise with. The heart of Arcane beats with the story of Jinx, a fan favorite character whose origins and lore come to vivid life on the screen.

Starring Ella Purnell and Hailee Steinfeld as the conflicted siblings Jinx and Vi respectively, the upcoming season of Arcane follows after the season one finale, after the battle of Piltover, as the two of them are pitted against each other. Things are about to get messier as Jinx can be seen wielding a gatling gun while Vi is armed with massive hand gauntlets. The show features a steampunk aesthetic as the show is incredibly faithful to the video game lore.

While season two marks the conclusion of Arcane’s current arc, co-creator Christian Linke assured fans that this is just the beginning of a larger narrative woven from the fabric of Riot Games’ expansive universe. This isn’t surprising considering the fact that LoL is a lore-heavy game and fans can look forward to getting to experience more stories in the LoL world being portrayed on the small screen. As he further stated that Arcane is just one of many stories to be told in the world of Runterra.

Having already earned accolades and acclaim, including four Emmy awards in 2022, the new season faces the daunting task of surpassing its predecessor’s high standards. But with its gripping storytelling and breathtaking visuals, one thing is certain: the journey has only just begun.
