Pixar’s animated series Monster at Work, which is based on Monsters Inc., is coming back for season two. Brand new episodes will be screened on Disney+ in 2023. The announcement was made via Disney+’s official Twitter handle. The tweet has a video which plays a montage of season one, wherein the dialogues of all the characters are emphasising the number two, indicating the second season.
Season one included John Goodman as Sully, Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski, Jennifer Tilly as Celia Mae, Ben Feldman as Tylor Tuskmon, Mindy Kaling as Val Little, Henry Winkler as Fritz, and Lucas Neff as Duncan P. Anderson. Emmy Award winner Kevin Deters will executive produce the second season, which will see the return of a star-studded cast.
Season two will be based on Tylor’s journey as a jokester and in this season his friendship with Val will face a test. Tylor’s co-workers at Monsters Inc. start questioning his loyalty as new opportunities open up for him at rival energy company FearCo. Tylor must figure out where he belongs as his Laugh Floor partnership with Val reaches its breaking point.
Original Monsters Inc. was started in 2001 and its prequel Monsters University was released in 2013, which focused on the friendship of characters Mike and Sully.
