The first details on the upcoming untitled animated movie from Avatar Studios, which will be the first animated picture based on the world of the popular series Avatar: The Last Airbender, has finally been made public by Nickelodeon and Paramount Animation.
The film will be officially set after the conclusion of the original series. The focus will once more be on Aang and his pals, who will make a comeback as young adults. Fans haven’t seen the entire team of Avatar together in almost 10 years since the spectacular conclusion of The Last Airbender in 2008, despite a few flashbacks in Avatar: The Legend of Korra giving us views of them as adults.
Three animated films, each having a stand-alone story set in the world of the anime series, are currently being created by Avatar Studios. Lauren Montgomery will helm the first movie. In addition to Eric Coleman, Avatar co-creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are producing the movie under Avatar Studios.
From February 2005 through July 2008, Nickelodeon aired the first three seasons of the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Throughout its run, it won numerous Annie Awards, Genesis Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award and also got widespread praise.
