Netflix is bringing the complete saga of The Dragon Prince. At today’s San Diego Comic-Con at Home panel, Netflix and Wonderstorm’s The Dragon Prince fans were were treated to a very pleasant surprise. The animated series has been renewed for its fourth season and more.
With this multi-season renewal, Netflix is committing to fully realise the creators’ vision for the saga, as The Dragon Prince story unfolds its full epic scope over seven seasons.
The Dragon Prince season four (and five to seven) will be comprised of nine episodes. The ongoing story of Prince Ezran of Xadia, his half-brother Callum, the warrior elf Rayla, and dragon Prince Zym takes place against a backdrop of warring kingdoms, generational prejudice, creepy magical advisor elf-bugs, and family tension that have made The Dragon Prince one of Netflix’s most-viewed animated series.
Wonderstorm has also announced a multi-year licensing agreement with Fandom to produce Tales of Xadia, a tabletop roleplaying game series set within the rich and diverse fantasy world of the Emmy Award-nominated animated series.
The cast of The Dragon Prince performed a live reading of the first section of Through the Moon, an exclusive, canon, original story set between seasons three and four. The Dragon Prince: Through the Moon will be released by Scholastic on 6 October.
