A fresh crew of weird cartoon heroes are ready to come to the rescue in Oddballs, a new animated series inspired by James Rallison’s popular YouTube channel TheOdd1sOut The channel boasts 18.1 million subscribers. The 2D-animated comedy drops on Netflix on 7 October.
Here’s the official synopsis: Oddballs follows James, a bubble-shaped boy, whose observations on life fuel his comedic rants at everyday annoyances and elevates them to laughably absurd heights. Along with his best friends Max (a talking crocodile) and Echo (a girl who claims to be from the future), James’ ridiculous schemes to question norms often result in disaster.
Created and executive produced by Rallison and Ethan Banville, Oddballs features the voices of James Rallison as James, Julian Gant as Max, Kimberly Brooks as Echo, Gary Anthony Williams as Mr. McFly and Carl Faruolo as Stuart.
The series is also executive produced by Faruolo and Michael Zoumas, in partnership with Atomic Cartoons (Jennifer Twiner McCarron, Matthew Berkowitz and Aaron Behl). Sarah Soh (storyboard supervisor, Centaurworld, Infinity Train) serves as supervising producer.
