Informing more the idea behind adding animation category in the set of awards, Somdev, says, “ India produces hundreds of student animation Films every year, but there is virtually no way for the general public to see it them. This is a gap we wanted to fill. Also, animation films require storytelling and technical skills just like live action Films, and the student film awards are incomplete without animation films. So there was never any doubt that we had to have the animation category in our awards.”
“This is the best opportunity for anyone interested in Cinema to get a peek into the future of this exciting medium. Not only will you get to see the work of the best Film makers in the making, you can participate in an exchange of ideas with some of the most important minds engaged in charting the present and future course of Cinema and Film schools.”, concludes, Somdev.
