In the latest in its fast-growing slate, SeaWorld Kids — the kid-targeted entertainment brand of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment — announces that it has joined with DQ Entertainment and Rollman Entertainment to present 52 x 11′ episodes of the kids’ animated comedy adventure series, YONAGUNI, at this year’s MIPCOM. Formerly known as THE OCTO FORCE, the newly named and evolved YONAGUNI series is created for kids ages 6 to 11.
When the balance of power between land and sea is threatened, the world needs a new team of heroes, one that can defend all the creatures of the planet — above and below the surface. Meet the YONAGUNI, a group of underwater heroes, ready to take on the villainous VOXORO and his mutant fishoids. But first, they must learn how. The Yonaguni live in a secret underwater civilization and attend the prestigious Deep Sea Academy, where they train and practice the fine art of hero-ing. Each gifted with special powers and even more special personalities, these aquatic action stars-in-training still have a lot to learn. Under the secret tutelage of the mighty (but slightly crazy) warrior NOMON, the Yonaguni receive the special training they will need to become the heroes they were meant to be. There is nothing fishy about these heroes!
