Kolkata based animation studio, Metaphor Studios is in the process of making two public interest messages for the NGO, Save the Children India, an organization for children.
The two public interest messages are in the form of 2D animated short films for duration of one minute each. The subject of the films ispedophilia and child trafficking, one centered on a girl and the other on a boy. Each film will have a distinct style and look-feel.
The films are primarily 2D animated with elements of 3D. Right now the project is in the pre-production stage with Metaphor studios having done everything from script to screen.
Kireet Khurana, Co-Founder, Metaphor Studios shared with Animation ‘xpress, “Having seen the previous public service messages for children that we have made at 2nz Animation, Save the Children and WISE Goa recognized our expertise in it and they have approached our team at Metaphor to do this project for them”
Established in 1988, Save the Children India has been working for the cause of disadvantaged women and children since then. An additional mission of the organization since 2002 has been to prevent and combat trafficking in children from the rural areas.
It’s nice to see the continuing usage of animation in the efforts being made for the upliftment of children who have been deprived and subjected to abuse and injustice.
