Meet Japanese Delegates one-on-one on 14th March at FICCI Frames 2012.

Japan known for its amazing quality, technology, media, and entertainment is the Partner country to FICCI Frames 2012. Key executives from Japan are coming to Mumbai to FICCI Frames, to share and understand about the increasingly buoyant and internationally significant Indian market.

In 2012, co-productions between India and Japan, new original animation for the Indian market, merchandising opportunities, and closer collaboration and cooperation are expected between media, publishers, and networks. FICCI FRAMES 2012 has brought the opportunity to meet the best from Japan in the field of Animation! A one to one meeting is being organized with the following visiting Japanese delegates on the 14th of March at 4:45 P.M. along with FICCI FRAMES 2012 at Hotel Renaissance, Powai, Mumbai.

Yoshihiko Shinoda: Head of Media Content DIvision, Asatsu-DK Ltd., Steering Committee member of AJA,Producer of DoraemonCrayon-shinchan and other famous Japanese animation TV and movie.
 Asatsu DK is one of the largest Japanese advertising agencies, headquartered in Tokyo.  They are involved in producing and providing its services to numerous anime series, through itself as well as its numerous subsidiaries, including recent installments of Sunrise’s famous Gundam series.  Mr. Shinoda has contributed in the globalization of world-famous anime series such as “Crayon Shin-chan” and “The Prince of Tennis”.

Yuji Nunokawa: Chairman of AJA (Association of Japanese Animation & CEO of Pierrot, Co.Ltd.

Since being established in 1979, Pierrot has been involved in significant animation productions, including 83 TV Series and 30 works for box office. “Naruto” and “Bleach” for example have been worldwide best hits, and has spent much energy involved with co-production opportunities in Asia and the American markets.

Shuzo Shiota: CEO of Polygon Pictures, received many awards in CG/ VFX, Producer of “Muybridge’s strings”.

Polygon Pictures, established in 1983, is one of the oldest and most recognized animations studios in the world.
Shin-ichi Suzuki: One of the pioneer legendary Japanese animator. He started career as cartoonist. Then, he contributed to animatorization of Fujiko-Fujio’s Doraemon and other as main animator. Currently, he is serving as director of Suginami Animation Museum in Tokyo.

Sadao Tsukioka: One of the pioneer legendary Japanese animator. He started career as assistant of Tezuka Osamu. Mr. Tsukioka is known as one of the most genius animator in Japan. He joined production of many animation movies as key animator. Now, he is professor at Takarazuka University.

Yoichiro Kawaguchi:  A pioneer of computer graphics artist. He received uncountable honourable awards including L’Oreal award, Pris Ars Electronica, Imagina and distinguished artist award from SIGGRAPH.

Naohiro Shichijo, Ph.D: Associate Professor, Waseda Institute for Advanced Study, Waseda University.

Dr. Shichijo’s research is focused on empirical innovation theory. By analyzing knowledge production using micro-level data, microscopic foundations of innovation dynamics from Science-based industry to Entertainment industry is revealed.
