At the 20th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (www.itfs.de) selected production companies, distributors and sales companies shall be given the opportunity to present animated feature length films to industry professionals in an exclusive marketplace – the newly-established professional event “Market Screenings”. The application/registration deadline for the market screenings is February 28, 2013.
The selected participants can invite film professionals such as buyers, distributors etc. to attend the screening of their film. Slots are available on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26, 2013.
All necessary materials will be provided for the market screenings: a cinema with projectionist and staff on the door, only the film print has to be provided. The market screenings will be included in the festival catalogue and the catalogue of the Animation Production Day.
A list of the market screenings will be distributed in the pigeon holes of the professional festival visitors (buyers, distributors, TV stations, press). The list will also be displayed in festival areas reserved for professional visitors and in the press lounge. The Festival will inform buyers, distributors, TV stations and the press on the market screenings before the Festival starts (newsletter, personalized emails). The Market will provide individual lists of all those who attend screenings.
In 2012 2.500 professional visitors came to the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (Combined ticket holders from FMX (www.fmx.de) and ITFS included). Part of the Festival is the Animation Production Day (APD), a business platform for the international animation industry, aimed at feature film projects, serial projects, games and mobile content, with a focus on brand building opportunities (www.animationproductionday.de).
