Kung Fu Panda 4 is set to arrive on OTT platform JioCinema in three local languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali – alongside English, on 15 July. The film will be available for only Premium members.
The fourth installment of the highly-popular animated franchise released in Indian theatres in March, and is currently available for rent on streaming services Prime Video and ZEE5.
The film’s synopsis reads: After learning, Po must find a new hero to take over as Dragon Warrior so that he may fulfill his destiny as the next spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, Po decides to take one last adventurous mission. He teams up with a quick-witted thief named Zhen, voiced by Awkwafina, a corsac fox, to discover the truth about recent sightings of villains he’s defeated in the past. In a journey that puts both to the test, it will take a wicked, powerful sorceress, The Chameleon that brings them together and reminds Po that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places.
Apart from the animated film, JioCinema Premium’s animated content lineup for July includes new episodes of Chikoo aur Bunty, Abhimanyu Ki Alien Family, and Taffy.
For Premium users, Riteish Deshmukh’s debut series Pill will premiere on 12 July. Produced by Ronnie Screwala’s RSVP Movies and created by Raj Kumar Gupta, the series unravels the inner workings of the pharmaceutical industry. The story follows Prakash Chauhan (played by Deshmukh), who digs through the deep-set rot in the Indian pharmaceutical world. The series showcases the process through which a pill reaches an individual, through diverse characters – from powerful pharma industrialists, corrupt doctors, to medical representatives, compromised drug regulators, politicians, journalists, and whistleblowers. Through the course of the show, tension unfolds as Prakash faces-off the manipulative CEO of Pharma company (portrayed by Pavan Malhotra) and takes on an honest fight to find out the truth behind the powerful nexus that puts profits before patients. In this compelling clash of good vs. evil, Prakash’s quest to truth raises hope for the common man to be more aware and vigilant in a world where everyone is at the mercy of medicines and vaccines.
The line-up will also include two Telugu action-drama films Gangs of Godavari and Harom Hara which will be available in Hindi; and other shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, Khoobsurat, Primetime with Murthy’s, Mishri and Bigg Boss OTT 3.
