At Anime Expo 2022, the official opening theme and a new key visual for Mob Psycho 100 season three were unveiled. Mob Choir will perform the official theme, Yoshimichi Kameda is in-charge of character design for season three and also created the key art.
The opening theme for the series’ first two seasons was also performed by Mob Choir. Fans were given a countdown as a tease for the forthcoming season, and the first trailer was eventually released in May. The third season of Mob Psycho 100 will premiere in October and will be available only on Crunchyroll. Season three will be directed by Takahiro Hasui, and the series’ writing will be overseen by Hiroshi Seko. The music will be handled by Kenji Kawai as he did for the first two seasons. The series will once again be animated by Bones.
Mob Psycho 100 is based on the manga created and illustrated by One, also the creator of One Punch Man. The manga was originally serialised in Ura Sunday from 2012 to 2017. It ended in 2017 after completing 101 chapters and 16 volumes. Beginning in 2017, U.S.-based publisher Dark Horse started to release the series in English. Volume nine will be released in English in August this year.
