‘Justice League’ and ‘RWBY’ crossover movie confirmed for 2023

The huntresses of RWBY and the heroes of the Justice League are teaming up in a new animated, crossover feature film.

Rooster Teeth is hosting RTX Austin 2022, its annual gaming and internet convention, in person again after two years of RTX at home. One of the highlights of the convention this year is the popular RWBY panel which featured writers and directors Kerry Shawcross and Eddy Rivas, supervising producer Laura Yates and lead voice actresses Lindsay Jones (Ruby Rose), Barbara Dunkelman (Yang Xiao), Arryn Zech (Blake Belladonna) and Kara Eberle (Weiss Schnee). The panel announced several exciting projects for the coming year, including RWBY volume nine.

During RTX Austin, the cast and crew of RWBY announced the first-ever RWBY feature film with a first-look image. The RWBY/Justice League crossover is being animated and produced by the same team that produces the hit web series in partnership with Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The upcoming animated film will tell a new original story set in the world of Remnant and feature members of the Justice League. This crossover film is set to premiere sometime next year in 2023.

Team RWBY first met the Remnant versions of Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, and Diana Prince in the RWBY/Justice League comic series released last year. Plot details for the upcoming feature film were not yet released, except that it will expand on the world of the seven-issue crossover miniseries while telling a wholly original story. Fans of RWBY and the Justice League can expect another exciting team-up between the two teams in the upcoming crossover film.
