A new Pink Panther hybrid movie is currently in development, with Jeff Fowler set to direct. Fowler has previously worked on live-action/CGI hybrid on the 2020 hit adaptation Sonic the Hedgehog for Paramount.
Lawrence Mirisch, Julie Andrews Edwards of Geoffrey Productions, Rideback’s Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will produce the project. Walter Mirisch and Rideback’s Ryan Halprin will serve as executive producers.
Chris Bremner (Bad Boys for Life) has been roped in to pen the CGI-hybrid reimagining which will be reimagined by MGM.
The iconic cat was created in 1963, first appearing in The Pink Panther, which was co-written and directed by Julie Andrews’ late husband Blake Edwards and starred David Niven and Peter Sellers. It was followed by nine other instalments written and directed by Edwards.

The Pink Panther Show started its television run in 1969 and ran through 1994. Pink Panther cartoons are still shown on TV around the world.
