After a gap of three years, the Indian AVGC delegation is back at ACE Fair at Gwangju Korea. The last delegation in 2019 saw participation from Lakshya Digital, Y-Gaming, Virtualsoft, and this year also a lot of Indian companies can be seen participating in it. Some of them include Lalita Deopa and Jyoti Rautela from Prismart; Gyan Era, Deepak Jadhav from Funsaga; Ashish Thapar from Hi-Tech Entertainment; Kumar Sundereshan and Senthil Kumar from AP International; Adita Jain from in10Media; Vineet Raj Kapoor and Parminder Singh from Virtualsoft; Vishal from Aeroplay and Ankur Bhasin from Encore Films.
Like the previous edition, this year as well Virtualsoft took the lead to put together the Indian AVGC delegation. They got an incentive of 50 per cent fair refund, 23 per cent early bird discount, a $500 worth content developer conference ticket, a translator at service, a free four nights hotel stay, pick and drop from Seoul to Gwangju, and daily pick and drop from their hotels, two free networking party options, a free city tour with culture, heritage ending with a Korean Dance performance. The meetings as always are pre-fixed with the mutual consent of the exhibitors and buyers and carried on with clockwork precision with 30 minutes to each meeting done at either the business lounge or at the exhibitors booth. The Indian delegation is hoping to do good business this time.
Indian IDT Expert Worldskills and SXILL School of Design and Animation founder Vineet Raj Kapoor said, “I have been coming to ACE Fair for a pretty long time, and as always it has been a great event as well as great cultural experience everytime. The organisers have always packed in surprises in the city tour. All hats off to the Gwangju Government who has always backed the event by funding the stay and trips of the exhibitors and buyers, and more. This has allowed the event to become an important one in the international circuit. Due to covid situation, this time, a smaller Indian delegation is going. However, we are expecting around 20 delegates or more next year.”
Virtualsoft Technologies manager Bikramjit Singh said, “ACE Fair is hosted by Ministry of Sports, Culture and Tourism, Gwangju Metropolitan City at the Kimdaejung Convention Center. It is organised jointly by Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency (GICTPA), Korean Cable Television and Telecommunications Association (KCT), Gwangju Institute of Design Promotion (GIDP), Korean Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).”
Parminder Singh would be managing the Indian Contingent alongside Vineet Raj Kapoor. He mentioned, “The event runs for four days from 22 to 25 September 2022 with the B2B section taking place on 22 and 23 September 2022. There are 318 booths from 30 countries. The marketplace covers Broadcast, Animation, Digital Content, (Gaming, AR, VR etc).”
